Happy Valentine's Day

Every February 14th, across the United States and in other places around the world, candy, flowers and jewelry are exchanged, all in the name of St. Valentine.

But who is this mysterious saint, you ask?

Well, no one really knows... but legend has it, that he was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. At that time, Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, so he outlawed marriage for young men.

Valentine, realizing the injustice, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine's actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.  He is thus remembered in time for being an outlaw, and a romantic!

There are many, many other stories surrounding the history of Saint Valentine, but the most important thing to remember is that today, and everyday, you are loved.

Like we said, Keri is also a Monet fan.  She says, "I felt very “polished” in my lovely Monet set when I got to wear it out last weekend, and that is something that this mom of two doesn’t really feel that often, lol!"

Now, you can feel polished, too.  Enter to win one of these charm bracelets and Valentine keepsakes on her site

But, don;t take our word for it.  Keri describes, "I was so impressed with the jewelry that I was able to enjoy for this review. I love that while it is very classy and elegant, it has a very affordable price point. I love how one piece of jewelry (or a set, for that matter) can complete the look of an outfit, and make you feel polished."
